Product/service description

Phase Focus has developed a proprietary process that can generate high definition images of an object without the need for  high quality lenses. The technique uses a novel iterative phase retrieval algorithm to generate both amplitude and phase images of an object and has applications in optical, X-ray and electron microscopy, amongst others.

Phase Focus was formed in 2006 to exploit the technology invented by Prof. John Rodenburg, Professor of Semiconductor Materials and Devices in the University of Sheffield’s Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. Prof. Rodenburg is the Principal Investigator of the EPSRC funded Ultimate Microscopy project, lead by the University of Sheffield.
